Biomorphism

Biomorphic design is inspired by living things and living systems.  It’s core elements are spirals, curves, and motifs drawn from the natural world. There are examples of biomorphism from most cultures, and spirals are one of the oldest and most universal motifs in history.

I love exploring this realm of design. In my opinion biomorphism is one of the most challenging design systems to master. The core design philosophy is easily accessible, but refining these structures, tuning them into harmonious arrangements, and staying consistent while being creative is actually quite difficult. I know I have a long path to follow before I learn what I must from this area of inquiry.
